Clinic Staff

  • Executive Director: Kristi Farquar, M.A.

    Kristi has spent decades in the industry of helping others as either a Director, a facilitator or an administrator. She possesses a Masters degree in Criminal Justice, which she obtained in 2019. She also has her basic training in the LCDC field, facilitated Aftercare programs and was a guest speaker at Victim’s Impact Panel for Fort Bend County for over seven years. She was a Director at a non-profit agency in Richmond, Texas for 17 years while simultaneously working with others in the area of recovery throughout that time. Kristi also was a guest speaker when called upon in the prison systems and other rehabilitation facilities, and she is a partner to her husband in their business that they have enjoyed operating since 1986.

    Kristi has spent the last two and a half years working with the wonderful team at the clinic as the Behavioral Health Advocate, our Level II certified BH coach, and our certified addictions coach. She has a deep seeded passion for helping others, be it in addictions or daily life, and she possesses the knowledge, experience and compassion to do so in the capacity in which God would have her serve. She welcomes the opportunity to carry the torch as the Executive Director, and plans to continue the momentum of growth and service to those without means that was passed on to her by her predecessor.

  • Medical Director: Dr. Robert Dougherty, M.D.

    Dr. Robert Dougherty earned his BS in Psychobiology from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. After college, he was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy. Dr. Dougherty completed flight school in Corpus Christi, Texas and served as a Naval Aviator and flight instructor during the Gulf War. Upon completion of his initial obligation to the Navy, he started medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1995.

    While in medical school, Dr. Dougherty was selected as one of eight students nationally to attend the Aerospace Medicine Clerkship at NASA. He returned to Corpus Christi to complete his residency in Family Practice. Dr Dougherty is married with seven children and enjoys his family time, volunteering for the Children’s Advocacy Center, woodworking and playing guitar. He regularly rides his bicycle with his children to school and work, so keep your eyes open!

  • Meg Musselman, Nurse Practioner

    Meg Musselman is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years experience in Pediatrics,Internal Medicine and Urgent Care. She values a comprehensive approach to patient care that includes education and individualized treatment plans and goals.

  • Registered Nurse: Lenora Holt, RN

    Lenora Holt is a native of West Memphis, AR., the last of twelve children and the Co- Pastor of Abundant Grace Community Church in Smithville, TX; where she proudly serves with her husband and best-friend, Senior Pastor Ronnie L. Holt Jr. Pastor Lenora Holt is the proud mother of Naquasha White Riser and Larry McGarity. She has 2 beautiful granddaughters, Giselle, and Emery Riser. Pastor Lenora Holt is a Registered nurse, she graduated from Galen School of Nursing in San Antonio with her ADN and BSN in nursing, and in August 2023 graduated with her Master’s in nursing education at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She is an active board member and nurse at the Smithville Community Clinic where she acknowledges and implements the vision to provide hope and healing for those without means.

  • Dental Intake Coordinator: Marie Murray

    My name is Marie Murray. I worked in medical administration before retiring. My greatest joy these days is being with my grandchildren. I feel quite honored and blessed to be a part of our ministry at the Smithville Community Clinic. It's very rewarding to help those who otherwise would not have access to good dental health.

  • Sidney Starling: M.Ed, LMFT-S, LPC-S

    Sidney is both a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist – Supervisor and a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor. She was in private practice for over 25 years in the Dallas area before retiring in 2014. Coaxed out of retirement in 2019 Sidney joined our Behavioral Health Team. In addition to being one of the therapists with the Smithville Community Clinic, Sidney also supervises the interns who complete their degree requirements at the Clinic. In addition to supervising interns, she also supervises postgraduates working on their state licensure requirements.

  • LCDC Director/Therapist: Charity Rogers MA, LPC

    Since 2004, Charity Rogers has worked to help others overcome the hardships that life can bring including work an addiction counselor, primarily in the corrections setting. In 2013 Charity left agency work and began in private practice. She contracted with an all online addictions program (Lionrock Recovery) where she began helping family members understand their loved one’s addiction and recovery. In 2014 Charity graduated from Liberty University with a Masters in Professional Counseling and began working as an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Since that time she has increased her specialties to include working with couples, trauma, adjustment to phases of life and other stressors that lead to distress. In 2019 Charity was named the Director of Behavioral Health Services with the Smithville Community Clinic. With her dream team of counselors, advocates and all of the clinic personnel and providers, the clinic strives to provide quality, long term behavioral health care from a holistic, integrative approach.

    While she’s not working, Charity enjoys homeschooling her daughters, traveling with her husband and enjoying the outdoors with friends.

  • James Igo, Medical Student Intern

    James Igo is a Nurse Practitioner student from Baylor University where he is focusing on primary care and family medicine. Outside of being a student he works in hospice and palliative care, so he has seen the spectrum of life from beginning to end and everywhere in between. He is supported by his wife and two kids, who are looking very forward to him finishing school once and for all. When he is not studying in the late hours of the night after tucking his two children in to bed, you can find him creating a variety of art or in the gym lifting heavy things up and then putting it down. His goals consist of helping others maintain their health and quality of life, educating folks about their health and wellness, and foster new ideas to promote a more sustainable healthcare access for those in need.

  • Lisa Davis, L.P.C.

    Lisa Davis, L.P.C., has been a psychotherapist for nearly 30 years, after graduating from Texas State University. She specializes in individual counseling, working with many of the issues that get in the way of a fulfilling life, whether it’s grief and loss, depression, anxiety, or trauma, including from childhood, to name a few. She also uses hypnotherapy, when appropriate.

    When not working, Lisa enjoys the outdoors, including trail running. She loves to travel and brings endless curiosity to learning about the world and the people that inhabit it.

  • Dr. Sullivan, D.D.S.

    Dr. James Sullivan has been a local resident of Bastrop, Texas since 1998. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1988 and then graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993. He retired October 2018 from the U.S. Public Health Service after serving for 26 years working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He continued working as a dental contractor at the Federal Correctional Institution at Bastrop until March 2020. He started working at the Smithville Community Clinic providing dental care in January 2022. He is an avid Longhorn fan and enjoys spending time with his son, Aaron, who is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin.

  • Kim Goertz, R.N.

    I am Kimberly Goertz. I am a registered nurse and have been for 15 years. I am married to the love of my life James and we have two awesome kids Zoey and Eli. We love going to the park, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking and going to the beach anytime we get a free weekend. Here at the clinic I help with the medical and dental departments. It has been wonderful supporting the people of Smithville and the surrounding communities through these services. It is such a blessing being part of this ministry with all these other wonderful people.

  • Dental Coordinator/Lead Dental Assistant: Stephanie Nuby

    Hi, I’m Stephanie. I am a RDA (Register Dental Assistant) with 27 years of experience in general dentistry and oral surgery. The most rewarding part of my work is helping those with high dental anxiety walk away from the office with a healthy, beautiful smile. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my daughter and family. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a healthy beautiful smile as well.
